Hello everyone!
I am looking forward to reading everyone's posts this coming semester! Currently, I am a senior in Communication Studies and have had the opportunity to take a number of classes in Comm. Some of my favorite focuses have been on the effects of new medias and social networking, semiotics, and intercultural communications. Communications is a vast field that encompasses many different areas, so I am excited for the new perspectives and focus this course will give me. Communication is important in any given relationship, our body language, actions, and words all impact how we communicate and can certainly shape relationships without our realizing it. The focus on human relationships particularly will be useful in real-life applications, whether it be thru work or everyday life.
In my free time I enjoy watching movies and TV. School keeps me busy most of the time, so I always value being able to spend time with family and friends. I also love to cook and am always looking up new recipes to try. I Yelp constantly to look up new restaurants and absolutely love trying new foods. Besides food, I am also a fan of leisurely readings and art. If an upcoming movie is based on a book or comic, I try my best to read it before hand.
